This is the 50th year of formalized relations between Jamaica and Japan and the Embassy is kicking things into high gear by having the Nihon Matsuri (Japanese Festival) on March 8th, 2014 open to the public. I was invited to the media launch held at the swagulous residence of the honorable Yasuo Takase, Japanese Ambassador to Jamaica. It was a nice time with very interesting people and of course, sushi!
